Presented through a partnership between the University of Richmond, the Virginia Coalition for Juvenile Justice, the Virginia Juvenile Justice Association (VJJA), JustChildren, the League of Women Voters, Families and Allies of Virginia’s Youth, and other sponsors and co-sponsors, there will be a screening of "Girl Trouble," an award-winning documentary that provides an intimate look at the compelling personal stories of three teenagers entangled in San Francisco’s juvenile justice system. The screening will be complemented by a panel discussion on the unique needs of girls in the juvenile justice system. Panelists include: the Honorable Judge Angela Roberts, moderator, VADJJ Agency Director Barry Green and the Exec. Director for the Center for Young Women’s Development, Marlene Sanchez. Both the film screening and panel discussion will take place in the University of Richmond’s Moot Court, May 15, 2008, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. A reception will follow and attendance is free.
