VJJA Staff Appreciation Grant 2007

During Probation, Parole and Community Supervision Week 2007 the VJJA Board awarded a $100 Staff Appreciation and Recognition Grant.  The winning workplace, drawn at random from among VJJA's member agencies providing community supervision, was the 11th District Court Service Unit (Petersburg, Dinwiddie, Powhatan, Nottoway, Amelia).  The group, under the direction of CSU Director Frances Brown, used the $100 grant towards their annual year end staff and recognition luncheon held on December 14, 2007.  Activities included a Scholastic Bowl moderated by CSU Supervisor George Lamb.  Staff members answered questions within the categories of both juvenile justice and holiday movies. Teams included the "College of Traylor at Petersburg", mascot - "The Running Records," under the direction of Team Captain Michael Traylor.  In addition to good food and fellowship, the event provided an opportunity to recognize significant staff member contributions and milestones in 2007.  VJJA is proud to have contributed to the event.
