Baker
Baker has been a VJJA member for 9 years and served as the association’s State Treasurer for 6 years. In that role she has maintained the books for both the general and institute accounts and fulfilled accounting and procurement functions. She has also had responsibility for computing and filing the association’s taxes. Prior to being elected to state office, Baker was part of the district leadership in the Tidewater District serving as District Treasurer. Employed by the Virginia Beach Court Service Unit, Baker has recently received specialized gang training and taken on responsibility for serving as the unit’s Gang Specialist. Baker attended Radford University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. She and her husband, Tim, and their two sons, Vincent and Patrick, make their home in Chesapeake. In her spare time Baker enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
