Telsch

Telsch has been actively involved in VJJA, serving most recently as the association’s Secretary.  He brings a wealth of experience to the Board having worked for more than 30 years in the Virginia Departments of Welfare and Institutions, Corrections, and Juvenile Justice.  He is currently employed as a Probation Supervisor.  Previously he served as an Assistant Superintendent at the Natural Bridge Juvenile Correctional Center.  Ron is the author of Three-Fifths Freedom, a historical fiction. Currently he is working on the sequel to that novel, The Crossroads Impasse, and two plays: a comedy loosely based on his experiences in Institutional Services, entitled pUBLIC SAFETy and, a drama, based on the death of Socrates, with a working title of Socrates Rules.  He also writes a regular column in the association’s quarterly journal, The Advocate.  Telsch holds a Bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University and a Master’s degree from the University of Georgia.  He lives in Rockbridge County with his wife Robin, a psychologist at Natural Bridge JCC, and the youngest of their five children.

The opinions expressed in the Advocate are those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the members or the Board of Directors.
