VJJA EVENT

Public Hearing on the Governor's Proposed 2006-2008 State Budget
Attend to Show Your Support for VaLORS for Juvenile Probation Officers!

January 18, 2006 - 1:00 p.m.
General Assembly Building, House Room D
Capitol Square, Richmond, Virginia

VJJA will have speakers present, but your attendance and show of support is imperative!   We want our speaker to be able to say, "At this time I'd like to ask my colleagues to stand and be recognized.  Here, on their own time, are 50 of the individuals who make Virginia’s juvenile justice system one of the best in the nation”.  We particularly need representation from the CSUs closest to the Richmond metro area ... Richmond, Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, Petersburg, Hopewell, Fredericksburg and Williamsburg. VJJA membership is not required to attend.

33 probation staff (representing all 9 CSUs in the Tidewater area) attended a similar regional public hearing held in Virginia Beach on January 5th.  Help make sure VJJA has a similar turn out in Richmond.  Organize a carpool! Rent a van!

Plan to attend and bring your friends, family and colleagues with you!
